If you want the best possible mount at the cost of weight, go with Key-Mo. I would forget about ASR- there are a lot of complaints about it as others have mentioned and it's cross compatible with better options. Potentially hard to remove muzzle device from mount if you manage to get it stuck since there's no wrench flats on the rear VERY light weight (3.2 to 3.85 oz for mount + muzzle device!) Some companies like diversified machine make alternative plan b mounts but you're stuck relying on Q to provide muzzle devices for now Have to wait till it cools completely to remove One handed operation, fine threads so not truly quick detach Taper in front of threads prevents carbon lock Omnidirectional, has lots of flash/concussion ( vid source), no functional recoil control Roughly adds the same length as direct thread to the system Kurtz mount option if you want something lighter (5.4 oz set) and shorter (~direct thread length) Taper in front of locking system + acme threads prevents carbon lock Slightly lighter than keymo, unsure on weight of mount but 1/2x28 muzzle brake is 3.85 oz and it has the locking system on itĭoesn't seem to be a ton of info on them for some reason

Never seen anything bad about them, slightly harder to pin/weld muzzle devices but not impossibleġ.25" diameter mount so you can tuck a can a little bit in most rails (ex 11" rail + 11.5" barrel) Taper in front of locking system prevents carbon lockĪdds length to can, ~1" more past the muzzle compared to direct threadĬompany doesn't rely on suppressor sales to stay afloat Lots of aftermarket muzzle devices with variations in porting, sleeving over the barrel, ect. Mount is kind of expensive, muzzle devices are about the same as everyone else Minimum 1.5" clearance if the mount is under the rail at all One handed operation, easy to make sure it's locked correctly Heavy (~4.5 oz + 3.6 to 4.3 oz for muzzle device, 8-9 oz total added to system) Otherwise I would probably go with Plan B I personally use KeyMo because I have DA suppressors and shoot unsuppressed sometimes. I don't know anything about the Area 419. Griffin Plan A is supposed to work pretty well, but isn't as common or as praised as Q Plan B. I have yet to see an example of either of these two mounts resulting in a launched suppressor, while ASR has had that happen dozens of timesĭirect thread works great if you can keep it from backing off (there are several thread-lockering methods) The DA and other muzzle devices work great on their own if you aren't shooting suppressed 100% of the time, but they do come with an additional weight and length penalty.

When the gun and suppressor get hot, they do get a little tricky to get off, but always come off once everything cools down. I haven't actually seen any examples of these failing to work properly. Key-Mo is longer and heavier, but bomb-proof. I have seen a few examples of the design getting stuck (one of the users here posted where the MB expanded and couldn't get loosed from the adapter, another over-torqued the silencer and couldn't get it off) I consider this option to be basically a direct thread that doesn't back off. Most folks use this if they only shoot suppressed. Q Plan B is lighter and shorter, but the Muzzle device is awful to use unless you have a suppressor on it. (Keep in mind that you will find complaints for each of these, this is on average). The general consensus has been that Key-Mo or Q Plan B is the best.
